DENPASAR, BALI – September 17, 2025 – As a swift response to the recent floods that struck several areas in Bali, Mercure Resort Sanur, in collaboration with the Sanur Chef Community, has distributed ready-to-eat meals to affected residents. This social initiative, coordinated directly through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bali Province, was carried out on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

The initiative involved chefs from various restaurants and hotels in the Sanur area, who prepared a wide range of nutritious meals. The team cooked dishes such as fried noodles, seasoned fried chicken, grilled fish, crispy fried chicken, and tofu. Volunteers from the Denpasar Scout Movement also assisted in the serving and packaging process to ensure the aid could be distributed quickly.

This initiative marks the first collaboration by the Sanur Chef Community. “This is our first activity, and we hope such collaborations will continue in the future to help communities in need,” said Bayu Kristiawan, Chairman of the Sanur Aman Community.

The Head of BPBD Bali Province, IGD Agung Teja, expressed his appreciation for the synergy built between the private sector and the local community. “We are very grateful for the contribution from Mercure Resort Sanur and all parties involved. This aid has been distributed to evacuation points in Denpasar, Jembrana, Tabanan, Badung, Gianyar, and Karangasem according to field data and needs.”

As the rainy season approaches, Agung Teja also urged the public to remain vigilant against potential extreme weather by maintaining environmental cleanliness, improving drainage, and preparing independent evacuation routes if necessary.

This initiative reflects Accor’s and Mercure Resort Sanur’s ongoing commitment to community support and sustainable hospitality in Bali.
