Sanur, Bali – Mercure Bali Sanur Resort participated in Accor World DuoDays 2025, a global Accor initiative aimed at promoting inclusion and expanding employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. This year, Mercure Bali Sanur Resort collaborated with PUSPADI Bali, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing rehabilitation services, wheelchairs, and empowerment programs for persons with disabilities in Bali.
The DuoDays program at Mercure Bali Sanur Resort offered participants from PUSPADI Bali the opportunity to experience working in a hotel environment alongside the resort’s Heartists®. Participants were invited to take part in hands-on activities across various hotel departments, including Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Front Office, and People & Culture, allowing them to gain insights into daily workflows and engage directly with the operational team.
During the program, participants joined a cooking workshop session with the Executive Chef, where they learned basic food preparation, tried light activities in the kitchen area, and became familiar with other hotel operational processes. The day began with a sharing session, followed by a lunch gathering, on-site observation, and concluded with a group photo session as a form of appreciation.
Representatives from PUSPADI Bali also expressed their appreciation for the collaboration, noting that initiatives such as DuoDays provide valuable experiences that help build confidence, broaden perspectives, and foster positive engagement with the professional working environment.
Through the implementation of DuoDays 2025, Mercure Bali Sanur Resort hopes to continue encouraging inclusive and sustainable workplace practices, while inspiring other hospitality industry players in Bali to create opportunities for persons with disabilities within professional settings.
